Annotation: The article is devoted to analytical review of the concept of information war, to the ways of the concept understanding and interpretation in foreign and national scientific literature. The different views on how to understand the term of information war are mentioned. The interpretation of the term analyzed is made taking into consideration the scope of the information war, its means and consequences.
