Annotation: This article is intended to familiarize with the history of the discovery and development of the 8 most common human oncoviruses, criteria for their identification and strategies for finding new ones. It will raise the problems of complications and progression of tumor diseases, and the possibilities of treatment and provision of vaccination against them.
