Annotation: The article deals with the approaches to the interpretation of the essence of the categories "liquidity" and "solvency" of the bank; the parameters of their interconnection and significant differences are highlighted; external and internal factors that influence the level of liquidity of the bank are considered, and, accordingly, influence the choice of the strategy of liquidity management of the bank; described the existing strategies of liquidity management of a banking institution, conditions, advantages and disadvantages of their application were determined.
