Annotation: The article investigates the peculiarities of journalistic investigations, this special kind of creative activity, differs in the orientation towards obtaining exclusive information, as well as the use of a large number of sources. The goals and methods of investigative journalism, and the stages of creation of the investigation material, which focuses on the process of searching for data, the promotion of key hypotheses and their verification, are analyzed.
