Annotation: The U.S. trucking industry is a driving force and a linchpin of national freight transportation assuring economic connectivity and security. However, it faces intense challenges such as driver shortages, infrastructure constraints, decarbonization pressures, technological disruption, and regulatory uncertainty. This paper reviews current barriers to innovation in the trucking sector and outlines prospective directions for research and practice. Emphasis is placed on automation, electrification, digitalization, workforce development, and sustainability. The purpose of this article, based on recent reports, industry white papers, and academic research, is to provide a comprehensive overview for stakeholders and researchers interested in the development of trucking in the United States.

Annotation: In the article examines key aspects of implementing the European Green Deal (EGD) in the context of industrial transformation and achieving climate neutrality by 2040. The primary focus is on aligning sustainable development with economic growth, particularly through decarbonization, circular economy principles, and innovative technologies.The study analyzes mechanisms for supporting industry, including financing, regulatory frameworks, and international partnerships, with an emphasis on key sectors such as renewable energy, electromobility, and hydrogen energy. Special attention is given to the challenges faced by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and the role of government policy in ensuring a just transition.A significant portion is dedicated to innovative solutions, particularly carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) technologies, modernization of energy infrastructure, and the development of sustainable supply chains. The authors highlight the need to strengthen the EU’s global climate diplomacy and integrate social considerations into decarbonization policies.The research is based on official EU documents, analytical reports from international organizations, and academic works related to sustainable industrial development. The article provides a comprehensive perspective on strategies for achieving the EU’s climate goals, combining environmental responsibility, economic competitiveness, and social inclusion.
