Annotation: This article presents a multilingual analysis of expressiveness in English and Ukrainian, considering their typological, cultural, and communicative characteristics. The study examines the main lexico-semantic, morphological, syntactic, and phonetic-prosodic means through which expressiveness is achieved. Examples of linguistic units are provided to illustrate various mechanisms for conveying emotionality and imagery. The research identifies both shared and distinctive features of expressive expression in the two languages. The findings indicate that English expresses emotion primarily through contextual and logical strategies, while Ukrainian is marked by high emotional intensity, morphological productivity, and intonational expressiveness.

Annotation: The article is devoted to the linguostylistic analysis of expressive means in O. Henry’s short story collection “Roads of Destiny” (“Шляхи долі”). It examines metaphors, epithets, comparisons, symbols, irony, wordplay, and other stylistic devices that shape the author’s unique style. Their role in creating emotional tension, revealing characters’ traits, building subtext, and achieving comic or dramatic effects is identified. The study demonstrates that expressive means serve not only a decorative but also a semantic function, giving O. Henry’s prose dynamism, rhythm, and distinctiveness.

Annotation: Studying the journalism of O. Pakhlivska as a literary phenomenon, we set ourselves the goal of identifying artistic means in the author's journalism and illustrating the influence of this journalism on the conscious reader through artistic means. Subject of research: artistic means in O. Pakhlivska's journalism. The object of the research: journalism of O. Pakhlivska. Research methods: the main method is descriptive. We also turn to methods of analysis and generalizations. There is also intent analysis as such, which reveals the hidden influence of the author's language on the recipient. Topicality. The basis of the article is our contemporary journalism. Writers, journalists, teachers. Personalities fighting for Ukraine's place in the cultural space of Europe. The journalistic work of the author is a specific form of art that combines literary skill with the analysis of socio-cultural phenomena. This allows O. Pakhlivska to express her thoughts, ideas and observations about contemporary events and problems, as well as to create works that have an ambiguous impact on the reader. Pakhlivska's literary journalism reflects the essential aspects of modernity, and also provokes discussion and reflection of the surrounding world. It becomes a tool of cultural analysis and influences a deeper understanding of social phenomena. Taking into account the subject of the author's articles, we see that Pakhlivska's literary journalism is relevant for covering various issues, such as politics, society, culture, science, etc.
