Training police personnel to respond to emergency situations involving radiation, chemicals, and biological agents

Annotation: Training police officers to respond to radiation, chemical, and biological emergencies is one of the key aspects of ensuring the security of the state and its citizens. This article analyzes the challenges associated with such threats and educational and methodological approaches to training law enforcement officers. Regulatory documents and training programs, including international initiatives, are considered. The main focus is on the practical aspects of training: mastering individual protective equipment, working with specialized devices for detecting hazardous substances, algorithms for action in contaminated areas, and decontamination procedures. Issues of tactical medicine and safety in combat conditions are also highlighted. The importance of interagency cooperation and international training projects is emphasized. The conclusions justify the need for continuous updating of training courses in line with current challenges and international standards.
