Annotation: This scientific article is devoted to the topical issue of political asylum in Ukraine for citizens of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus, who expressed support for Ukraine in the context of the Russian-Ukrainian war. The authors define the problem and its relevance from a legal and ethical point of view, explaining the need for an effective and comprehensive analysis and solution of this issue. The procedure for obtaining political asylum and legislative regulation of this issue. The article draws attention to the impact of the military-political conflict between Ukraine and Russia, which began in 2014, on the migration situation in Ukraine. She emphasizes that recent events, in particular the invasion of Russia, have led to an increase in the number of citizens of Russia and Belarus seeking political asylum in Ukraine. Many of them became victims of political persecution and human rights violations in their countries, so they are forced to seek protection abroad.
