Annotation: The article describes the essence of personnel management as a set of principles, methods and means of purposeful influence on staff, ensuring the maximum use of his intellectual and physical abilities in the performance of work functions to achieve the goals of the organization, disclosed the purpose of assessing the effectiveness of personnel management of the enterprise. Modern organization in the structure of the commodity market is a complex socio-economic entity. In the management system of this entity, a special place is occupied by personnel management. Without staff, there is no organization, and the success of its financial and economic activities is a merit and property of the staff. The long period of economic development of leading industrialized countries with a market economy convincingly shows that success can be achieved only if the basis of management of the organization is a person as the highest value of the firm. In order to ensure the efficient functioning of the enterprise, a strong team must be formed, capable of maintaining its high professional authority. The success of the organization depends on the choice of options for building a company personnel management system, learning how it operates, choosing the most appropriate mechanisms and techniques for interaction with people. The groups of staff evaluation criteria that are used by any organization with some adjustments are highlighted. The features of modern methods of assessing the effectiveness of enterprise personnel management are considered: rating scale method, benchmarking method, 360 degree method, KPI method, expert evaluation method, Azimuth method, Jack Phillips technique and Dave Ulrich method.
